1. What is your favorite color?
Red! It’s fierce, loud and powerful. Just like me :)
2. What are 5 things you can’t live without?
Food - and it’s not just to be practical, I’m a real foodie. I am constantly munching on food and I love going to new places and trying out new flavors and cuisines.
I’d hate to be such a millennial, but my phone is a must. It helps me organize my life.
Lip balm - the thought of my lips dry and cracking makes me want to cry.
Literature! It has made such an impact on my life. I am truly grateful for authors, professors, philosophers, entertainers, etc - for sharing their talent, knowledge, and experiences to the world in writing. To me, literature is personal. All the books I have read in my 20 years of life has impacted my perspective, my opinions, and my knowledge. Books have really helped shape my personality overall. I don’t know what I would do if the world stops writing.
Moisturizer - I love makeup but not on my dry, flaky face. It keeps my face plump and healthy looking. I love me my moisturizer.
3. Describe your perfect day
It would be during the Fall when it’s cold enough for me to wear a cute coat. It would be a very productive day full of accomplishments, all my agendas met and finished. Then, I would come home to my loving boyfriend and we would just sit by a lit fireplace, in our pajamas and warm socks, with hot cocoa and take out food - watching films. A perfect day would be just that - knowing that I am in a comfortable place, with my boyfriend, stress-free - even just for that day, knowing that I have done well.
4. What is something you’ve always wanted to do and have not done yet?
I have always wanted to publish a book. This is one of my absolute goals in life and I am currently trying my best and working my hardest to write a book that will make an impact and will be worthy for me to have been written - I set high standards for myself, especially with things I am passionate about.
5. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
It varies, a lot of the things I do and think are inspired by different people. But, in general, my mother would definitely be one of my biggest inspirations. She is such a warrior, she has sacrificed so much for me and she still does to this day. I have so much respect for the woman, she is selfless and full of kindness and love. She believes in my abilities and aspirations in life, but she challenges me at the same time. She is truly the bravest, strongest, most beautiful person I know. She inspires me to be a better person, a better version of myself every day.
6. What accomplishment of yours are you most proud of?
Back in 2013, I was chosen by Adobe, the computer software company, to travel to California to attend the Adobe Youth Voices Summit. For a week, along with other young people, I got to work with creative professionals creating videos, photography and animation to express our visions on social change. My team produced a PSA video on education and I was really able to express my feelings and opinions on something I truly cared and felt strongly about. It was and has been one of my proudest moments in life.
7. What is your dream job?
I don’t think I will ever have a concrete answer to this question. I have discovered that my talents and interest are so vast and I cannot possibly focus on one career to put all my energy into for the rest of my life. There are way too many things I want to do and my talents and interest grow each day. I guess what I can say is that I dream to be able to do all that I wish to do and accomplish.
8. In what conditions are you happiest / feeling most alive and aligned with your purpose?
I am the happiest when I am surrounded by the people I have chosen to be in my life. I used to say with people that I love, however, I love a lot of people but there are certain people I love that have certain “vibes” that I choose to be around with. Those are the kind of people that inspire me, the kind of people I feel the most at home with, the kind that gives me the positive energy I lack at times. As a human being, I value relationships a lot and I truly believe that just like everybody else - one of my purposes in life is to be there with and for the people that need me the same way I need them. When I am with these people, I feel present, loved, and alive.
